What you'll do
General tasks and responsibilities

- Very detailed oriented and experienced performing high volume cash counts.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
- Address guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
- Answer telephones and emails using appropriate etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Support team to reach common goals.
- Ensure that coworkers understand their tasks.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Follow internal/Marriott training as required for brand standard audit.
Specific tasks and responsibilities
- Identify problems and repair printers’ copiers and scanners.
- Diagnose software and hardware problems.
- Repair and upgrade different types of computers (software and hardware).
- Tracks prioritization and documents follow-up of requests using an IT support request system or IT ticketing system.
- Install and configure new computers and other IT equipment.
- Keep track of IT supplies and equipment e.g., cables and adapters.
- Assists with testing of new release of software vendor modifications upgrades and patches, if necessary.
- Assists with resolving issues of operations by submitting tickets to BlueAlly or GuestTek that can help resolve or direct how to resolve the issue reported.
- Assists with resolving issues with internet/tv/telephone and other hardware/software related issues in guest rooms and/or public areas in the hotel.
- Be available 24/7 in case of any IT application/tv/internet issues reported that need to be resolved either remotely or on location (if necessary and requested by IT manager) for operations to continue.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office environments; experience with network, hardware, and system support is a plus.
- Hands-on mentality with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently and efficiently.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English (Dutch, Spanish or Papiamentu is a plus).
- Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Flexible availability, including weekends or after-hours, in case of technical emergencies.
