Wat je gaat doen
Specific Accounting Clerk tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- You should be 100% accurate and take pride of reconciliations and check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
- Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information.
- Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or spreadsheets.
- Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
- Prepare, maintain, distribute statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables.
- Complete period-end closing procedures (incl. posting of accruals) and reports as specified.
- Be an example in following LSOPs and corporate standards.
- Play a proactive role in managing the outstanding receivables and/or payables based on aging and based on contact with other departments to gain a sense of urgency and come with a proposal which payments to prioritize over others or decide on collection efforts.
- Perform other reasonable accounting job duties as directed by Supervisors or management (or as detailed in the full job description).
Wat we zoeken
- Background in an accounting education (MBO) and/or work experience in accounting is an advantage.
- You should be a strong communicator verbally and written in at least English – Papiamentu, Spanish and/or Dutch are an advantage – as you will have extensive contact with other departments, suppliers and/or corporations/wholesalers per email, by phone and in person.
- You must be proficient in Windows operating systems, company approved spreadsheets (intermediate level MS Excel skills) and word processing.
- Experience with Opera PMS and/or Exact Online is an advantage.
